Kinder Kapers
Kinder Kapers is Toronto's Secular Jewish Community School's very own Yiddish and Hebrew oriented, Sunday morning preschool program. Kinder Kapers is a fun place for parents and their tots to learn some songs, play some games, have epes tsu esen (something to eat -- see you're learning Yiddish already!), and
schmooze (chit-chat). Parents and tots will both come out humming Yiddish and Hebrew tunes and will even learn a bisl Yi ddish (a little bit of Yiddish) or qtsa't 'Ivrit (a little Hebrew) in the mix. Kinder Kapers runs twice a month (see our calendar for dates) at the Winchevsky Centre and is led by Leigh Gonder, an expert in early child care and a gifted musician. Kinder Kapers Kids (both tots and their parents) are invited to join the rest of Toronto's Secular Jewish Community School and the Winchevsky Centre at our holiday observances (they are on the calendar too). Kinder Kapers is a great way to start a secular Jewish education that can continue through Toronto's Secular Jewish Community School's programs all the way to your tot's Bar or Bat Mitzvah and beyond. In the meantime, our parents and toddlers will both get to make lasting friends as they socialize together during the sessions and afterwards over refreshments provided by Kinder Kapers.
